Accounts Receivable Clerk Permanent Position 42-48K Boston MA (two days onsite and three days Remote) Responsible for assisting the Billing Specialist with managing, researching and resolving denials to effectively reduce losses. • Manages full customer billing life cycle, from invoice creation to payment receipt. • Prepares thorough reports on billing activity with clear and reliable data. • Verifies discrepancies and resolves SCO billing issues and short payments. • Maintains and updates customer records in appropriate software. • Keys medical claims on insurance websites • Researching authorization and coverage denials • Vigilant follow up of all denials with regular assigned projects Competencies • Knowledge and understanding of billing software and collections procedures. • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc.) • Character of integrity and dependability • Organization skills with a keen ability to prioritize • Excellent communication skills • Proactive and resourceful • Possesses a positive attitude • Ability to Multitask Attention to accuracy and detail Required Education and Experience: • Minimal billing experience required • High level Excel and Spreadsheet utilization • BA/BS; willing to waive in lieu of experience • Ideal candidate would have some experience with Accounts Receivables in the Health care industry Potential candidate must clear CORI background check
